Altus Lumberton Hospital Hires Katie Gordon as its New CNO
Lumberton, TX – September 16th, 2021 – Altus Lumberton Hospital officially announced today that they had hired Katie Gordon as their new Administrator/ Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Mrs. Gordon, who holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, brings more than a decade of experience in obstetric and neonatal nursing as well as nursing leadership.
In her role as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Gordon will work under the direct supervision of the VP of Clinical Services.
As part of her primary responsibilities, Mrs. Gordon will manage and supervise the clinical staff at the hospital, ensuring appropriate staff levels to meet and exceed the complex needs of our patients consistently. In addition, she will ensure that the competency and care standards remain compliant with the hospital’s policy and procedures and accreditation standards with CIHQ and CMS.
To achieve her goals, Mrs. Gordon and the professional staff will coordinate, manage, and evaluate the hospital’s clinical programs and services to identify areas of improvement and promote overall quality of care.
Aside from her professional skills, Mrs. Gordon has strong family and community values that were a perfect match for the family-oriented organization.
Mrs. Gordon, who is originally from Houma, LA, has moved to Lumberton area with her two children, ages five and two, and is looking forward to becoming an outstanding community member. When asked about her experience at Altus Lumberton Hospital so far, she has this to say:
