An Interview with Nurse Kendall Williams

In December, our employee highlight for Altus Lumberton Hospital is Kendall Williams. Our fantastic nurses make a difference in the lives of our patients and their colleagues every day. With their compassion, empathy, and passion for what they do, they provide help make our days brighter and our lives fuller.
Let us get to know a little more about what Kendall is like.

Q. How long have you been a registered nurse?
A. I have been a nurse for a total of 9 years. I was an LVN for 6 years. In 2018, I graduated as an RN with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing.
Q. What is your Favorite Restaurant?
A. My favorite restaurant I would say is Fogo de Chão in Houston. I’m never disappointed in leaving! The food is delicious, the service is exceptional, and the experience is unique.
Q. What can you not resist?
A. One thing I cannot resist an ice-cold Dr. Pepper after a long day at work!
Q. An ability you wish you had?
A. I wish I had the ability to restore peace and unity to the world we live in. Also, the ability to eradicate the virus which has taken a toll on so many lives.
Q. Favorite Movie?
A. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is my all-time favorite movie. I can recite each line verbatim and sing along to the tunes.
Q. Favorite music?
A. My favorite music is a mix of gospel and worship. I grew up in church so it brings a sense of comfort to my soul.
Q. Favorite part of working at Altus?
A. My favorite part about working for Altus is the culture of the company. I am treated with respect, encouraged daily, and valued for being an employee.
Q. What are you thankful for?
A. I am thankful for my life, health, my family, my job, and just being able to be a part of the nursing ministry. I truly enjoy being a nurse to help make a difference in the lives of others.
Q. Do you have any New Years’ resolutions?
A. This year has definitely been unrelenting in events. My resolution for 2021 is like most others. I resolve to live a healthier lifestyle and realize that every day I live is God’s gift to me.
